2014!!

New Years! It's so funny because this is the first New Years I didn't make any major plans. My girlfriends and I would always make sure we were doing something fun on New Years. Usually involved dressing up in flashy dresses, champagne glasses, and tons of pictures of us all dolled up. We spent this New Years at our neighbor Mas's party next door. He's one of the lawyers on island. I wore jean shorts with no make up. Hair up in a messy bun. So much for dressing up! ;) We spent the whole night drinking Cooks and listening to music, blasting the speakers with oldies like Ace of Base. At midnight, we all decided to get in the water. The water is a nice 80 degrees all year around. Like a warm bath! I jumped right in with my jean shorts on. The view was spectacular! The stars and moon looked so close to us. They lit up the mountains all around us. We didn't have an actual countdown because we didnt have our phones or a watch. Mas was the only one who brought his phone down to the water in a ziplock bag. Haha! Sadly, his phone doesn't work anymore bc I decided to take it out to take pictures... It may have gotten a little wet in the process (whoopsies!). We counted down and had a splashing contest! Jameson kept telling me how much he loves me and how amazing this year is going to be. My first year without my family and friends. Without the comforts of home. I'm so happy to be spending it with these people who've become my friends in this short time. Cheers to 2014! A year I'll surely never forget.
