Pushing my limits!
Sometimes I wonder why I moved to a tropical island if I don't enjoy bugs, hiking, and deep sea diving? Most of the people I've met here are marine biologists, agriculturalists, coast guards, or something to do with nature. Jameson being one of those people! He is a fish! Constantly in the water or talking about the ocean. ALWAYS. I love the ocean, don't get me wrong. The water temperature here is like warm bath water. Not to mention, it's crystal clear and the most beautiful blue/green you've ever seen! So it's not that I don't like the ocean; it's that I'm somewhat afraid of it. haha! I don't like not knowing what's swimming among me or the fact I can't run and escape if need be. I'm not the best swimmer either. Hiking is another animal. I have had bad experiences with hikes (eh emm... the Costa Rica hike circa 2011 resulted in 7 stitches in my left leg=no bueno). Also, the Mt.Pinatubo hike in the Philippines last year nearly killed me. I don't like the pressure of exerting intense physical activity in blazing hot heat either. It's just not my idea of a "good time". But that's all there is here! Beautiful hikes and the most amazing marine life on the planet. So what's my deal?! I need to push myself. If I'm going to live here, I should experience the island with no regrets! So here it goes. I made a promise to myself that I'll try everything this island has to offer at least once. I already checked kayaking, snorkeling, and paddle boarding off my list! So far, so good! Still haven't hiked yet but i'll get there. :)
