In celebration of my passed course, I invited my fellow San Diegan, Cindy, over to go for a snorkel. The current was ripping and the wind was unreal. I thought this would be a good opportunity to sneak an exercise in! When the current is that strong, you have to use all your muscles groups just to keep afloat. Luckily, I had good fins! ;) I couldn't believe how many fish were out! It was literally a different world. Cold and windy outside but calm and serene underwater. The fish were unbelievable. I decided to go out further than I've ever gone before. I was just mesmerized by all the coral and tropical fish. Blue, purples, yellows, turquoise and even pink fish! As I was cruising along, I saw something large catch my eye. My heart sank. Was it a shark!??? No, no, thank god. It was a giant puffer fish!! This thing was a beast. About 2 feet long and an enormous round body. His eye was the size of a silver dollar. I was so scared! Are they poisonous?? As I began to question myself.. I kept following it. Haha! I don't know what came over me. This is so unlike me!! Investigating potentially harmful fish in the ocean all by myself! I think this island is changing me.. ;) After the amazing snorkel, we all went to Lasanga night at our neighbors house. It was the perfect ending to my amazing Sunday Funday. Its a good day in Samoa. I'm not so homesick today. Feeling optimistic about this place I call home. ❤❤❤
