Giving thanks

The holidays are the worst part about being away. Looking at all the pics of my family back home makes me feel so lonely. I know all this is temporary. I know that this is a trip of a lifetime that I'll never forget. I know I'll "never be able to do this again!" So why doesn't it soften the blow? I yearn for my family so much. Not just mine but Jameson's too! My new family. ❤ I started to feel really sad this morning but then it hit me. I have SO MUCH to be thankful for. Thankful to be alive and healthy. Thankful to be engaged to the most wonderful kind hearted man. And thankful to call these people we surround ourselves with our family too! The friends we've made here are forever. Without them, id be lost here in this country. So this year, was my first turkey day in AmSam with my Samoan family. And I have to say.. I'm thankful for that! :)
