Rain, rain, go away!

It has literally been raining non-stop for the past 12 hours now! I'm not talking sprinkling here and there. I'm talking a straight up shower!!! It is truly incredible how much rain has been dumped on this island. I've never seen anything like it in my life!!! Thank god for our little 4 runner. The roads in Samoa are not exactly paved to American standards. The roads become easily flooded and rivers begin to form. There were so many cars stalled in the middle of the street because they were stuck in a flooded zone on the road.  We all got to go home early and had a rainy day stuck indoors. I didn't mind in the slightest. Haha! I love rainy days! :) But this rain isn't to be messed with. Unfortunately, a landslide happened in town and a house was completely washed away. I really hope everyone was already evacuated! This has the potential of devastating our small community. Praying for brighter skies today!!
