Reality Check!

I finally made it! After 15 hours of traveling, I finally arrived in Pago Pago last night at 930pm Samoan time. When I came off the plane, I was greeted by a "police officer" wearing a lava lava and flip flops. Definitely not in Cali anymore. After hauling my 4 suitcases (yes, four) onto the carrying cart I went outside and was greeted by the humidity and a familiar face running towards me with a lei! :) Bliss!! I missed him so much! 90 days was far too long! He took me to our new home. It was SO DARK. I couldn't see anything. He kept on saying just wait until morning, it will take my breath away.

How cute is this Christmas Tree?! He surprised me with this when I came home. :)

The intense humidity and heat woke me up this morning. I was so uncomfortably hot and sweaty. We realized that our "meter ran out", we had NO POWER. I naively asked Jameson to call the SDG&E of Samoa and tell them to come out here and fix it! hahaha REALITY CHECK!-- That's not the way things work around here. We had to go add money on our meter at the electricity place. We got there early and added $150. Who knows how long that will last?? Can't we just get a bill sent to us like back home? What if the electricity place was closed? Jameson said, " Then, oh well." I guess I need to start thinking like the people here and just go with the flow...instead of demanding excellent customer service like back home! ;) So, oh well! Jameson was right about one thing though. This morning took my breath away!!

Breakfast and a walk outside.

Our little home :)

Coconut Point- just steps outside our home! ok someone pinch me now.
