5 more days!!

Ahh 5 more days until Jamie gets back!! I can't believe it's been nearly 3 weeks! I feel like it's gone by so fast. I have to say, I am quite proud of myself. I was really nervous at first being all alone here for 3 weeks. Jameson is such a huge part of my life. I spend every single night with him. I really enjoyed my solitude. I enjoyed working through the week, working out after work, and making dinner for one. Of course, I missed him but I really liked having my independency too. It helps that I have the most wonderful friends here too.
Sadly, one of my bests left on Friday for good! My dear sweet Nick! He lived next door and was one of my favorite people here on island. Always so friendly and helpful to Jameson and I. We all became close these past 5 months. These people end up taking the place of your friends and family from back home. I don't know what I'd do without them filling that void. I kept telling everyone how incredibly sad I was that  Nick was leaving. They all said, "Get used to it! Everyone leaves!" The rotation of people in and out of this island is tremendous. Contracts end or people decide to move on to a different chapter of their lives. It hit me that I'm going to have to get used to saying Goodbye to most of my friends I've met here. It's depressing, really! We are from all over the world. It's not like I'll see them in my near future. I literally have to say goodbye to them and hope that we'll cross paths again one day. I know I'll see Nick again. Maybe not anytime soon, but one day! We all drove him to the airport that night. I cried! I told him I'd miss him so much! He told me, "We'll see each other again, the world isn't that big!" haha. He's right! Jameson and I will definitely see him again. We are all bonded together because we lived and breathed Samoa. I love having these special bonds. These new friends. This incredible journey. I'm always looking forward to what's to come! Right now its... 5 more days!!!
