Boat Life

Yesterday was so epic! Our neighbor Brenda purchased a boat and invited us to go to Aunu'u, an island off the east side of AS. I was hesitant at first because I remember the last time I went on a boat... I got horribly seasick! I shrugged it off and decided to go. Jameson and our neighbor Elana came with too! The boat is really nice, fits about 6 comfortably. I couldn't believe how fast the boat went! We got to Aunu'u in no time. We saw the most amazing views on the way. Amazing mountains and some flying fish! Jameson had to be towed to the waves by a rope tied to the boat. He was in heaven. The biggest smile on his face. A surfers dream. "Perfect peeling rights" with only 2 other surfers on the wave. I was happy he was so excited. I love seeing him like that. Well, unfortunately the happiness was short lived as I started to feel real sea sick. It took all but 10mins for me to start feeling nauseated from the boat bobbing back and forth. The inevitable happened. Brenda said it best, "Carolyn is chumming for sharks off the boat." Haha! I'm glad everyone had such a great sense of humor about it! I powered through it and before I knew it, it was time to head home (thank god!!). The ride home was incredible. Despite all the sickness, I would probably risk it and go again just to see the amazing scenery.    It's that beautiful!
