First Time Blogger!

I'm creating this blog for our family and friends who want to follow us on our epic journey, living and working in another country. For the curious onlooker, wondering why the heck Jamie and I are in American Samoa, let me give you the gist. Jameson and I decided last year that we wanted to gain work experience in another country after we received our Master degrees. With the help of Jameson's close friend and colleague, Alex Messina, we applied to teaching jobs 8 months ago. In July, Jameson got the job! He is currently the Marine Science Coordinator at American Samoa Community College, the ONLY community college on the island! I too, was offered a job as a college professor at Argosy University teaching Psychology 101. Jameson's job was much more demanding than mine. They needed him to teach ASAP. He left on Sept. 2nd, 1 week after he proposed to me! :( I wanted to join, but I had other commitments. My main commitment is my amazing cheer team that I have had the pleasure of coaching for the past 5 months. Unfortunately, the time as come for me to leave! I booked my ticket: December 2, 2013!! After 3 long months, I'll be reunited with my wonderful fiance on a tropical island in the middle of the pacific. Someone pinch me...this can't be real.
